Following the Chinese belief in celebrating their New Year really does not conflict with the belief we grew up with, it even enhances and expands our belief system as well. The Chinese New Year is fast approaching and it is time to celebrate! Let’s be one with them.       AVV210

It is Year of the Metal Tiger. Before we read what is in store for us this year, let us prepare ourselves to welcome this New Year for good luck, prosperity, and longevity.

 FOR PROSPERITY:

Prepare lots of coins then scatter them in every corner of the house.

Get a bowl and fill it with raw rice (bigas), adorn with silver coins.

Parents and grandparents must prepare lucky money (in bills, in any amount), put in red envelopes for children and well wishers. This will bring good luck to the recipients and most especially to the giver.

One must eat hard-boiled egg on the strike of midnight. The golden yolk will invite golden opportunity to one’s life.

Wear new clothes to welcome the New Year.

Take a bath before the New Year and refrain from taking a shower on the first day of the Tiger year, for this will wash the luck away.

Prepare foods that expand while being cooked.

FOR LONGEVITY:

Encourage everyone to stay awake on New Year’s Eve to welcome it.

Eat noodles on New Year but do not cut or break the noodles before putting the noodles in your mouth.

Eat fish on the first day of the year. This will bring good health and keep you away from any ailment the whole year round.

Prepare flowering plants with sprouting bulbs, representing new life.

THE YEAR OF THE TIGER:

This year will bring a year full of drama that can bring tensions and unpredictability in the air, both in the family circle and social life. Events can happen quickly and fast because of the outburst of emotions and tempers. So, take heed this year regarding conflicts and tempers.

Though the year will bring prosperity and vast opportunities, all are advised not to put success in their heads for the quick change of fate will alter the positive into negative.

THE TIGER IN THE HOUSE:

If you have a Tiger in the family or in the house, then you have a natural protection against fire, theft and evil spirits. The Tiger will send them away the whole year of their year.

CHARACTERISTICS:

People born in the Year of the Tiger are very lucky and very courageous. Tiger people are dynamic, attractive, lively, social, enthusiastic, alert, and optimist. They love to party all night long and think of the next event even the day is still young.

The Tiger is very competitive with a wonderful fighting spirit. They are natural leaders with great strategic techniques. They can also be stubborn and impatient that their temper flare up suddenly and makes decisions not favorable to all, including to themselves.

COMPATIBILITY:

LOVE PARTNER: Best with the Horse and Dogs. Mid-20’s is the best time to marry for Tigers to a partner with the signs of a Horse or a Dog. If the chosen partner is under a different animal sign, then early marriage is advised for the Tigers.

The Tiger conflicts with the Ox and the Monkey people. Their relationship will not just work out. Though they can try but falling out of love is doomed to happen anytime.

BUSINESS PARTNER:  Best business partner for the Tiger are those people born in the years of the Earth Dog, Metal Pig, Water Tiger, Wood Horse and Fire Dragon. Whether the Tiger is a minor or major stockholder, it really doesn’t matter as long the Tiger is in the house of the mentioned animal year.

FRIENDS: Most compatible friends are those people born in the years of the Horse and the Dogs. They will blend and may spend the rest of their lives as the dependable companion for better and worse.  The most incompatible friends are those born in the Monkey year. Deception and envy will be felt by both the Tiger and the Monkey.

BEST MONTHS FOR THE TIGER IN 2010:

The best months for the Tiger people are March, April, May, September and August. This are the months for marrying, starting a business and going on a vacation. The worst month will be the month of October.

The next issues will be for all animal signs in the Year of the Tiger. Make this as your guide and reference for decisions and plans for 2010.
