Taylor Hazell Architects (www.taylorhazell.com) is a downtown Toronto firm
with a wide range of projects in the school and government sectors. We
are specialists in the retrofit and addition to large historic and modern
structures. We are looking for an architect or technologist with
considerable skill in the area of contract document production; you would
be within a team of architects and designers, using your skills in detailing
and in AutoCAD drawing production. If you have a minimum of 8 years
continuous Canadian experience in an architect’s office then we would like
to meet you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaboration with an office team in design of a Part 3 building, and in
the production of contract documents in AutoCAD to a professional
standard. - Production of documentation in written form, to a high quality and
professional standard. - Coordination with structural, mechanical and electrical consultants.
- Regular schedule of work, and meeting of schedule for work assigned
by the team.
CAPACITIES
- Degrees in Architecture or Building Technology.
- Proven expertise in the production of working drawings in AutoCAD,
with a minimum of 8 years Canadian experience. - Expertise in the implementation of the Ontario Building Code.
- Experience working on large-scale institutional projects, such as
schools or courthouses. - Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Team oriented and collaborative approach to architectural design and
production. - Ability to work autonomously under direction.
- Initiative and motivation to achieve high standards in architectural work.
