Safehaven have four residential locations in the Greater Toronto Area – a genuinely loving and supportive home for their clients. Families can rest easy knowing their children are loved and cared for in a fully accessible environment. They also offer emergency respite services to families in need of temporary round-the-clock care during critical times. They provide support to families and cared for their children when they were ill with COVID. Even at home, Safehaven provide clients with fun and unique experiences, such as movie nights, listening to music, and other leisurely activities. Their goal is to make them feel part of a community and show that #WeBelong.
Safehaven is looking for volunteers to directly engage with the children and young adults in their care. Volunteers may visit the ROM, go for a swim, participate in music therapy, read a book, go to a Blue Jays game and so much more! It is such a fun and fulfilling way to spend a day.
