As of this writing, Erich Gonzales enplaned back from Thailand where she filmed the romantic film Suddenly It’s Magic, opposite Thai idol Mario Maurer. One of the persistent talks has it that allegedly Erich swept off Mario off his feet which makes his Thai GF jealous of her.
A colleague relayed to me what Erich confided. While it’s true that she found Mario so amiable, likeable, there’s no reason why his GF would be jealous. In the entire shooting there, Mario never made a move to court her though always supportive to her, not high-flown in his actuations.
“I don’t think if he has a special someone, walang dahilan para pagdudahan niya si Mario na nanliligaw sa akin. All our co-stars, staff would attest to that.” Erich voiced out.
A josh stems too that Erich’s reel love team Enchong Dee confronted her about the issue with a dent of insecurity. In this light, Erich giggled for it’s a bluff also. Having been so attached with Enchong for some time now, he knows her from head to foot as a straight forward girl.
“Enchong will be the first to know if I’d be ready for love matter. Kahit kaming dalawa have no commitments with each other. More of closest friends lang kami.” Erich chuckled.
Incidentally, heard that a new teleserye for Erich and Enchong would grind very soon, a no bagatelle project in story and scope, so to say.
Sam Wows Indonesian Fans
After Christian Bautista, singer-actor Sam Concepcion seems bent to duplicate his feat as a Pinoy who has attained huge popularity in Indonesia. Just recently, Sam was a guest in a top show Dahsyat, produced by RCTI Channel, one of the biggest networks in the said country.
Sam ‘s superb singing of his single Forever Young and Yeah 3x became a number one trending there as reported by the Indon press. An offshoot of that success, Sam has been besieged with offers to star in TV, movies in Indonesia, This, Sam himself confirmed upon his return to the Philippines.
His diehards cross their fingers that he would soon penetrate world market. So as not to be assiduously belittled by Charice’s followers. You see, Charice was only second to Sam in the talent search then by ABS-CBN. But Charice’s international recognition relegated Sam to the background by leaps and bounds.
Some Charice’s loyalists accused Sam of sour graping her triumphs, out of alleged enviousness. Of course, Sam dissented such allegation on him, a mere ruse to daub his reputation.
“In the first place, isa ako sa unang natuwa sa tagumpay ni Charice sa ibang bansa.” Sam rationalized.
Trivia:
This writer couldn’t help but recall that the feud between the siblings Ara Mina and Cristine Reyes runs parallel to the rift which reached the Courts of Amalia Fuentes and her brothers Alex, Cheng Muhlach. In details, I was fully aware of the animosity among the Muhlachs. That time, in Amalia’s movie outfit AM Productions and the brothers’ D’ Wonder Films, I served as their publicist.
In Ara’s case, she filed a libel suit against Cristine because of the latter’s demeaning words thrown to her as an aftermath of Ara’s unpaid debt to Cristine worth millions. While Amalia took to the court a case in order that Alex and Cheng could pay back her financial assistance in founding D’ Wonder Films.
To this date, Amalia’s words to her confidante still struck me. “I’m not after the money. It’s more of my principle. I just want to teach my brothers a lesson on humility. Porke ba sobrang sikat na si Nino (Muhlach) bigla nilang kinalimutan ang mga ginawa kong tulong sa kanila. Bigla na lang nila akong initsa puera. The two completely neglected my AM outfit.”
In defense, Alex intimated to me. “Kami ni Cheng in deep gratitude kay Amalia. From childhood, siya ang naging ama namin, nag-aruga at nagpaaral sa amin up to college. We owe to her what we are now. However in one’s life comes the thought you could no longer stand living without independence. Parang nasasakal ka na, walang laya to stand on your own feet. That’s what Cheng and I felt. Gusto naming makagalaw na di na pakikialaman ni Amalia. Yet she didn’t get our point.”
Just like Amalia, Ara clarified her aim in filing the libel case vs. Cristine. “I’d like to teach Cristine a lesson. It hurts me to do this pero nakakalimot si Cristine dahil sikat, financially stable. She doesn’t care na siraan ako nang husto. She forgets that money, popularity and even her valued chums of late will be lost along the way. But her family will never turn her back to her.”
Analyzing further, at the height of the battle royal among the Muhlachs, not a few sided with Amalia. There were also supporters of Alex and Cheng even in the movie press to the extent of being at loggerheads with Amalia. Within me, got the notion that blood would always be thicker than water. At that I opted to work quietly at Amalia’s office in the morning. And in Alex, Cheng’s firm every afternoon, sans personal involvement with their dispute.
To make it short, years later Amalia, Alex and Cheng had buried the hatchet, thanks to the mediation of their late mom and close family circles. Sadly, the relationship of Amalia with the camp of her brothers was never the same again. And vice versa. The seeming wall still visible for the harm had been done.
At this juncture, here’s an advice to Ara and Cristine’s fanatics. Ponder on the truth that sooner or later the sisters would reconcile. While there’s still time , enough of adding fuel to their quarrel and put a distance. Or else, at the end you might suffer the consequences.
Is Sarah Richard’s New Love?
Mutual chums of Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Labhati insinuated on the real relationships of Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Labhati. Both admit no love involvement but they oftentimes go twosome. “Ang sweet nila at laging hatid- sundo ni Chard si Sarah pag may taping ng Makapiling Kang Muli. Ah, you be the judge sa real score sa duo.” They echoed.
One thing more, it’s Sarah who has influenced Richard to be active in social network, especially in posting Instagram photos. Before, no one could persuade Richard to try networking which he seemingly abhorred. That would mean Sarah’s a very special girl for him. Mind you, GMA-7 people would be naturally happy.
Robin’s Choice: Marian
Did you know that when asked of a new screen partner, movie icon Robin Padilla mused it’s none other than Marian Rivera. Binoe sizes up Marian as seductively beautiful. That her nubile looks would really make boys envious of Dingdong Dantes.
“Malabo kaming magkapareha ni Marian sa TV dahil Kapuso siya, Kapamilya naman ako. In any case, if a movie producer gets me for a project, I’d suggest Marian to be my love interest.” Binoe reportedly stressed.

There’s no truth to a rumor that close friends Sharon Cuneta and direk Joey Reyes have a rift, out of Joey’s twitter messages about Sharon which allegedly hurt Sharon. Joey explained. “ I just reminded Shawie that she should be careful not to stoop down below her level and not be easily affected by others’ provocative criticisms on her and KC.”
In fact, Joey uttered that Sharon sent her a message, thanking him for his advice. So there…
After Ruffa Gutierrez, by now Mariel Rodriguez would have resigned as co-host of Paparrazzi for TV5, Don’t look now, but Robin Padilla himself admitted that it was his decision.
“Ayokong malagay sa sitwasyong nabastos paris ni Ruffa ang misis ko. Gusto ko nga maging plain family woman na lang si Mariel without showbiz controversies.”Says Binoe.
As expected, Zainjan Jaranilla’s new teleserye Lorenzo’s Time enjoys huge viewership. It won’t be surprising, if it gets bigger percentage than Walang Hanggan in the rating charts. Yet heard some comments from the viewers.
“Though we can relate in the story, we find it awkward watching Zanjan acting like a grown up man falling in love with Carmina Villaroel, his supposed childhood friend. Parang nakakailang at disturbing sa mga batang nanunuod. Somehow it would create a confusing reaction to the children’s mind.” They chorused.
Oh well, that’s understandable, especially to the rather conservative parents.
