Support the iVolunteer Philippines

By | March 12, 2021

Volunteers have been playing an essential role in achieving a more resilient community against COVID-19 pandemic. The volunteer sector in the Philippines was placed in a quandary with restrictions that imposed community quarantine regulations, and not to mention the potential threat from COVID-19 infection. Despite these challenges, volunteers continue to find many ways to help and give back to the community in a safe manner, especially during these trying times. Many volunteer-run groups and organizations stepped-up and quickly adapted in various challenging situations. Some organizations responded promptly to help raise money to buy PPEs and relief goods for the community as well as for the frontliners. And some organizations became creative in engaging volunteers and mobilizing resources to help individuals and communities mostly affected by the pandemic.

The iVolunteer Philippines is one of the amazing volunteer-based organizations in the Philippines who effectively tapped into the bayanihan spirit among Filipinos. The iVolunteer Philippines, a non-government organization, is run 100% by volunteers with full-time day jobs. They promote volunteerism by providing organizations with a platform and avenue to reach more volunteers that match their needs. During the pandemic, they have strengthened their platform to increase volunteer engagement virtually and developed a program for Treasure Volunteers – for donors and skilled individuals – to give people more options on how they can give back by donating their money or sharing their skills.

You can support our volunteers through your contributions and donations. Visit the iVolunteer website at ivolunteer.com.ph and learn more about the organizations they support. The following are just among the organizations that they support:

Build Titserfe Advocacy of Hope – provides supplemental lessons to underprivileged children and helps them to reach their academic potential.

KeepGoingBaguio Warrior Fund – provides Baguio residents access to quality psychological and/or psychiatric consultation and care. They also promote mental health and livelihood among people with mental health conditions.

Kwentuhan Series – is an advocacy group based in Paete, Laguna that aims to help children develop and improve their reading skills as well as their appreciation of books and of reading through storytelling. They need help to raise funds for their AKLAYA – a micro mobile library that will be managed by parents or families in the community.
