Naging very busy yata ang lahat sa kampanya, bantay sa bilangan at pagrireklamo after the counting that they missed doing this favorite traditions of the Pinoy. Kawawang mga fashion designer, costurera, nagpapa renta ng gowns at barong tagalong- lugi negosyo this year.
Don’t worry- there’s next year to look forward to.
I thought the very positive claims in favor of the new automation of our election exercise were true. Naka, mali ako at marami sa ‘ting mga kababayan. Two days daw alam na ang winners, e, Hunyo na, ‘ala pang official announcement for the Presidency and VP winners. Dami pa ng nagcocomplain, grabe- lahat o halos lahat ng natalo claim may dayaan and believe in the things ‘Robin’ (in his koala bear mask) has revealed to the press. Niyari daw ng grupo nya ang results to favor those who paid millions/ billions of pesos to him and his group.
Sonny Belmonte, former Quezon City Mayor who won under the Liberal Party of Noynoy. Ninenerbyos na daw yata si GMA na matalo (kakahiya naman for a former President of the Republic) kaya she told her partymates WALA NA SYANG AMBISYONG maging House Speaker. Owws, again? Tingnan na lang natin ang next chapter.
Dami na rin from outside of the party who have expressed daw in coalescing or joining the Liberal Party. Ok lang naman- everyone wants to be on the winners’ (and safe) side pero sana hwag nang maulit ang kostumbre in the last administration na ke sa tama or mali daw e bumoboto pa rin in favor of the leadership’s wishes. Para naming panatag ang loob ko dito kay Noynoy- feel ko lang he will really feel the people’s pulse before he makes his major decisions. Sana nga.
E sino na nga ba ang ating VP? Katagal namang desisyon yan- Si Jojo Binay na nga yata according to the last count of Comelec and PPCRV as they ceased counting to give way to the official canvassing by Congress. Di naman payag sina Mar Roxas and his group- antayin ang pinakahuling boto na mabilang- to the last drop, ika nga. I truly understand Mar’s feelings- sya nga naman ang nangunguna sa lahat ng surveys except during the last two which showed nagpantay ang dalawa (Binay and Roxas). Kahindik hindik, I suppose for Mar’s group to accept that he who originally hoped to gain the Presidency, and then gracefully slipped his ambition down to being Vice President na lang MUNA, ay idi declare na natalo ng isang Binay- Batanggenyong dating magbababoy na tumanggap ng awa (charity sa English) mula sa kamag- anak na nagpa- aral sa kanya (well, ayon naman ito sa mga write- ups, ha?). Aba, nangyayari talaga yon!
Kamura- mura ng salary, Php5,000.00 yata for the days when they worked so heroically. Pansin nyo ba- dito sa bayan natin, para daw it does not pay when you give your heart and soul to your job. Pinakamalaki mong matatanggap ay papuri- wa datung! Not to say that mukhang pera ang Pinoy.
That’s life, e. May lungkot, may ligaya…which makes me want to relate to you itong mga pinaggagagawa ko the past week. Jean Goulbourn is very, very active with her Silk Cocoon and Goulbourn shops at the New World Hotel in Makati- wala na sya sa SM and she concentrates sa High end na.
No, it’s not fashion that we talk about these days. It is about wanting and trying to help people who are DEPRESSED. Now, it’s an accepted fact although medyo sinisekreto pa rin, ayaw ipahalata ng iba at yung ilan, ayaw tanggapin kasi baka masabing sila ay baliw.
Ms. Goulbroun set up the Natasha Goulborn Foundation to perform that advocacy. The name of the Foundation honors her daughter Natasha, a very beautiful lady who passed away at age 22 due to depression. Now, Jean Goulbourn wishes to reach out to Pinoys who suffer depression and try to ease/ cure that state through counseling and advise, clinical/ medical diagnoses and therapy, and some other activities leading to the depressed individual’s wellness.
Mga kababayan from Canada, here’s wishing all of you a lovely month of June. Let’s be positive about everything and most of all, let’s not allow depression to rule our life. Dami pang dapat nating ikasaya ‘no!!!
Till our next issue! Thanks!
