These past days talk snowball that allegedly Regine Velasquez and husband Ogie Alcasid will be banned to hold concerts at the Araneta coliseum. You see, the couple publicly supported Sen. Grace Poe in the presidential race. It so happens that his rival Mar Roxas’ family owns the said venue. Gossip mongers spread around it’s a way of retaliation of Mar’s family.
A jocund Regine laughed off the rumor, with the statement that she or Ogie had never maligned Mar during the campaign period. “We were honest of our choice for president. But Ogie and I would never believe of such act to be done to us by Mar’s family. Di ganoon kakitid ang utak nila and won’t lose their respect for me and Ogie so to ban us is out of the question. “ Regine theorized in front of some writers.
On other aspect, Regine disclosed she was thankful for the success of her recent concert in various U.S. places. At the same time, she felt guilty to learn how sad her son Nate in her absence as relayed by Ogie. Regine opted not to bring Nate along for it would be tiring for him to travel in different locales.
