Fresh off her stellar performance as Paige Aquino in Netflix’s Tiny Pretty Things, Filipino-Canadian Nicole Huff will once again be returning to the screen, this time in a guest starring role as Alina Taylor on CBC’s Pretty Hard Cases. The new action-packed series stars Meredith MacNeill and Adrienne C. Moore as detectives who take on the challenges of high stakes criminal investigation and their own personal lives. Dean McDermott is featured as Detective Barry Hamm.
A rising star in the industry, Nicole is beginning the next chapter in her career, having recently signed with new LA representation (the same manager as Rachel McAdams and the same talent agency as Jason Priestley), allowing for many more opportunities in Hollywood. She’s already been recognised with multiple awards including a Young Artist Award (Best Performance in a TV Movie Miniseries, Special or Pilot), two Joey Awards (Best Actress – Lead in a Short Film), and a Young Entertainer Award (Best Young Actress on a TV Series Guest Star).
A true triple threat, Nicole has been acting on stage and screen since the age of six. She is trained in multiple styles of dance (ballet, contemporary, pointe, tap, jazz, acrobatics, lyrical, musical, and hip hop), and is a classically-trained singer. She is also fluent in French and employs this skill as an online part-time French and English teacher at a private language school for young students in Asia, as well as a French/English tutor to young students in the Toronto area. Nicole is a skilled pianist and enjoys sharing this knowledge as a teacher to young students.
The world will soon be much more aware of Nicole’s musical talents when her debut EP is released later this year. Produced by renowned music producer, Roy Hamilton III (who has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, NSYNC and Justin Timberlake), the EP’s first single will be an upbeat Pop and Dance track that is sure to get you moving. Stay tuned!
As you wait in anticipation for her album drop and performance in Pretty Hard Cases, remember that Tiny Pretty Things is still streaming on Netflix. It was the number 1 show in the world for two weeks after it premiered in December 2020. Nicole’s character Paige is introduced in episode 5 but her storyline really picks up in episodes 6 through 9. You definitely don’t want to miss her dream scene opposite Hollywood star, Lauren Holly (Dumb and Dumber). You can also catch Nicole’s upcoming etalk interview which will be airing soon.
See Nicole Huff in Pretty Hard Cases on Wednesday, March 3rd on CBC.
