Here’s a latest report on the ongoing romance between Andi Eigenmann and Jake Ejercito, the son of ex-Pres. Joseph Estrada and ex-actress Laarni Enriquez. Allegedly, Andi’s mom Jaclyn Jose gets hurt over Erap, Laarni’s comment of their dislike for Andi, with some negative criticisms on Andi.
“I honestly feel bad. Any mom would feel the same way. I’d like to retaliate, say many things. But I won’t ever do it, out of my respect for a former president and ex-colleague of mine Laarni.” Jaclyn was quoted as saying.
In a chat with one of Erap’s confidantes, he remarked that it’s a hapless, humbug accusation thrown to the couple. For Erap and Laarni are not capable of doing so, much more so to a member of a showbiz world that once they belonged to.
Personally, for a time this writer had been associated with both Erap and Laarni through my closeness with their good friend the late Fernando Poe Jr. Never was a time I heard Erap mouthed acrimony against his children’s lovers and preferences, for that matter. As such, he has given them a leeway.
In the case of Laarni, she’s one of the sweetest, most diplomatic actresses I’ve ever met. For the duo to disparage Andi seems not believable.
Marian Defends Rafael
Since the taping of the new Kapuso TV series Temptation of a Wife started, gossip mongers have tongue-wagged innuendoes about Rafael Rosell, fresh from his transfer to GMA-7 from Ch. 2. The latest has it that in some sequences Rafael made passes on leading lady Marian Rivera who reportedly swept him off his feet.
Informed about it, Marian dispelled Rafael’s act as mere daft reaction of his detractors. “Eh cool, calm, collected guy si Rafael. Laging maginoo. In contrast sa ganyang tsismis. I admire him for that. Even my bf Dingdong (Dantes) speaks highly of Rafael. “ Marian emphasized.
On the other hand, Marian admits that she has daring scenes with her other co-star in Temptation… Dennis Trillo. In any case, there’s no awkward moments with Dennis within the camera range.”Kasi we’re good friends. We’ve worked together many times. Di kami ilang sa isa’t-isa.”
Incidentally, Marian’s TV series is based on a Korean tele novela.
Anne Vindicated
Before Anne Curtis enplaned abroad, she expressed a victorious feeling. After the cynics claimed nakatsamba lang si Anne kaya kumita sa takilya ang starrer niya No Other woman, her film currently showing A Secret Affair makes a P100 M at the tills in less than a week.
During the thank you bash tendered by Viva Films boss Vic del Rosario. Anne was on the brink of tears as she hugged long time media supporters. “I’m thankful they have trust in me. Pati nga sa pagkanta ko that others make fun of. Ok lang sa akin. At least, successful naman ang concert ko. I’ve felt vindicated.”Anne theorized.

A famous female kontrabida from the ‘50s to the ‘70s, Zeny Zabala made a history of sorts in local movies. For in the mid ‘70s, Zeny was launched to full stardom in tearjerkers Ruby, Mother Dear and Himala ng Birhen ng Penafrancia, to name some. The films were produced by Narciso Isidro of NGI outfit, the grandfather of actress Agot Isidro.

At first, I was reluctant to play lead roles, thinking the public wouldn’t accept my change. After a failure in her marital life with the late character actor Boy Garcia. Zeny kept away from another serious relationships. She opted to concentrate on her career and businesses in Marikina. Years back, Zeny turned inactive in showbiz, bed-ridden that she was,out of her heart stroke.
When Zeny recovered, her initial move was to visit her siblings in the United States. She stayed there for a while. Now, she’s back, willing to revive her acting career.

More so with their joke, naku ha, nagkikiita-kita tayong mas matitibay ang buhay.
Most probably, Zeny will soon be tapped in the cast of a forthcoming kapuso tele serye as relayed by colleague Erlinda Rapadas, one of the GMA-7 publicists.
Piolo Should control Fans’ Twitter Accounts
Definitely, Piolo Pascual should make a move to control his fans on their lambasting twitter spat with KC Concepcion’s family, particularly her mom Sharon Cuneta. The ill use, inimical words thrown to KC and her family for quite a time have truly militated on them.
“Pasalamat sila nakakapagtimpi pa ako .But I’m on the verge of revealing the real truth why KC and Piolo separated if they won’t stop their imperiousness in putting us down.” Sharon threatened, out of anger.
If I were Piolo I’d see to it to talk with those followers involved in that fiasco. Much more so to plead them to stop the attacks on Twitter. To make the fans understand that in the end, Piolo would be the loser through and through. Heed this advice Piolo. After all, on the whole you’re a likeable person.
Gov. Vi’s Cheriished Day
In the past Gov. Vilma Santos would admit that her birthday bash always turns a most cherished one for her. Last Nov. 3, she felt the same way anew, out of the surprise number tendered by her staff. There were re-enactment of her favorite scenes in her starrers, performed by her non-showbiz chums.
I do recall that the last time I graced the birthday celebration of Gov. Vi was in 2009 prior to my departure for Canada. Comedian Tsokoleit broke the house down when he chose a non-showbiz male guest to be a partner in his number as they enacted the love story of Vi and Sen.Ralph Recto which held the couple in stitches, laughing uncontrollably.
That when this writer bannered in the column that Tsokoleit upstaged the other rib-tickler Vice Ganda (who did his usual TV antics), the latter felt offended. Vice Ganda snubbed me every time we bumped into each other. Oh well, he has more reason to act overweening now he’s a top comedian, no less.
