VIC SPARKS FEUD BETWEEN PAULEEN & NINA?

By | February 16, 2012

Albeit Vic Sotto and Pauline Luna neither confirmed nor denied their relationships, it’s obvious they’re on. Much more with the cropping out of this alleged scenario. That Pauline recently confronted Nina Jose, Vic’s co-host in the TV 5 show Joe & Wally Present Vic. Reportedly, Pauleen feels discomfit over the rumor that Vic and Nina are lovey-dovey too.
An insider related that Pauleen and Nina were seen in a huddle but no hair-pulling or exchange of inventives took place. Nevertheless, got info that Pauline evinced to Vic her disgruntled feelings over the issue. Well, did Vic really spark the rift between Pauleen and Nina being a two-timer?
Vic’s chums with a doughty support for him exclaimed, “don’t blame bossing. Talagang lapitin lang ito ng chicks, out of his charms, gallant ways.” So that’s it.
Sharon Eagerly Awaits Project with Nora
By March, 2012, superstar Nora Aunor will be back in the Philippines after her throat surgery and rest in Boston, USA. Definitely, Guy will begin shooting a project with Megastar Sharon Cuneta for TV-5. Contrary to reports that Shawie did show lackadaisical attitude on the said team up, she eagerly anticipates to work with Guy for the first time.
“It’s a big honor to co-star with her. Remember that since the ‘80s plans to put us together went pfft. Now it’s a reality. That will be a milestone in my career.” Shawie confided.
Billing problem or meatiness of their respective role won’t be hindrance whatsoever. Both expressed limpid declaration many times their respect and admiration for each other. What matters most to Shawie or Guy could be the chance of a lifetime to be paired in an efficacious vehicle.
In the meantime, Shawie perks up upon the mention of her forthcoming concert in Toronto. Promised by the management of TV-5, it would be the biggest, a sort of novelty show for the megastar which truly makes her all agog in looking forward to.
Lani Nixes Down New GMA-7 Teleserye
Despite the acclaimed showered on Cong. Lani Mercado for her splendid performance in the drama series Amaya, she nixed down new teleserye offered her by the Kapuso network. A source intimated that Lani heeded the advice of Sen. Bong Revilla to slow down on her showbiz career. This was brought about when Lani failed to accompany Bong in his recent US trip. Heard that time Lani rushed the last taping days of Amaya which ended a week or so ago.
In a chat with Lani, this doesn’t mean she would quit showbiz for good to concentrate as congresswoman. She ruminates once a year TV appearance, if given a break from tasks from Congress and being a family woman.
Trivia:
Did you know that since the ‘50s, the Philippine award giving bodies were rocked with scandals, innuendoes and controversies? In 1956 the Filipino Academy of Movies, Arts & Sciences (FAMAS) handed major awards to comedy films. This was led by Gloria Romero, the best actress winner for Dalagang Ilokana and Fred Montilla who grabbed the best actor trophy for Bondying.
That was the time the public wasn’t ready yet for comic triumphs. Out of it, many did emblazon dissatisfaction over the results. Dismayed, the producer of the winning movies the late Dr. Jose Perez of Sampaguita Pictures ordered the winners to return their trophies to the FAMAS body. Later, the kinks were ironed out when the FAMAS people explained that even in the Oscar and other European awards, comical stuff won the lion’s share.
Yet controversies went on yearly with talks that nominees were allowed to campaign, lobbied with the FAMAS officers and members which paved way to rancor words that the trophies could be bought. However, the worst incident a court case which involved no innocuous accusation against me.
The scenario transpired at the time Aleck Bovick bagged the best actress award. As a truthful officer of FAMAS I wrote that the audience booed. then walked out from the venue. A co-officer then Vir Mateo announced in print and over the air that the chaos was created by me. For I was backing another contender Ara Mina who allegedly paid me to ensure victory.
To clear my tarnished image which I had protected for four decades, I filed a libel case vs. Vir. Col. Jimmy Tiu, another FAMAS officer who was the chairman of the tabulation committee assisted me by giving the document. It showed that aleck didn’t even make it to the top five finalists. Then I held a presscon which garnered nationwide curiosity brought about by TV coverage’s too.
Eventually, an apologetic Vir and his lawyer met with me to settle our differences out of Court. I agreed only if he would apologize publicly which he did. Yet seemingly FAMAS body was never had smooth sailing till it did split to two bodies.
The Philippine Movie Press club’s Star awards suffered similar occurrences of heralded ordeal. Not a few officers, members reportedly attached to the Kapuso network enunciated their break away. They formed another group called the Enpress (Entertainment Press) which to date yearly goes on with its award night.
In a nut shell, the Catholic Mass Media, the Filipino Academy of the Philippines (FAP) and the Urian (circle of movie critics) at one time or another had been beleaguered by internal fluster but not pother enough. Unlike what occurred in the Manila film fest years ago this merited news over the CNN in US. That was the scam which the culprit Lolit Solis admitted. Due to her admission of guilt Lolit got a light punishment. The real winners Aiko Melendez, Aga Muhlach thus received the best actress, best actor trophies, taken away from Gabby Concepcion and Ruffa Gutierrez.
After Joey, Kris’ One on One with Phillip?
By the time this issue comes out, Kris TV show probably aired already the one on one interview between the host Kris Aquino and her ex bf Joey Marquez. For sure, it would be well followed being first meeting since their break up years ago. At that, many have the inkling the more the show will be garnering higher viewership if next in line will be another erstwhile lover Phillip Salvador. How about it, Kris?
Lolit Nearly Overshadows Rhian?
Whether in jest or factual item, this writer was held in stitches by what a colleague told me. That my good chum writer-TV host Lolit Solis nearly upstaged Rhian Ramos in several sequences of the film My Contravida Girl, a solo starrer for Rhian.
Supposedly. Lolit enacts Rhian’s manager whose ad-libs would truly tickle the funny bones. A natural comedienne at that. Its megger wanted to extend Lolit’s part. But she turned it down, saying.
“Naku ha, launching movie ito ni Rhian. Ayokong sapawan siya.” Ah, typically Lolit indeed.
Contrasting Reports:
As of press time, got some contrasting reports. Firstly, it’s said that Carla Abellana finally left GMA-7 to ink a contract under ABS-CBN. A confidante of Carla countered it’s not true for up to now Carla’s heart belongs to the Kapuso network. Though Carla admitted the standing offer from the other station.
Out of the news there wasn’t no Valentine’s date for Angel Locsin and Phil Younghusband, talks have it that the duo broke off already. However, Angel herself swears how it could happen when in fact she hasn’t admitted she’s Phil’s GF.
“Paano kami Magbe-break eh di naman kami nag-on.We’re just the closest of friends.” Angel averred.
Words have rolled on that Sharon Cuneta turned down her reteaming with Gabby Concepcion for TV 5. Reportedly, due to her previous Star Cinema project which she co-stars with Gabby and KC Concepcion.
In contrast, Sharon clarified she simply requested TV 5 management to postpone it for a later date, not really rejecting Gabby as partner.
