After weeks of misunderstanding between Judy Ann Santos and Kris Aquino, the two are in good terms anew. It was an aftermath of a comment in Juday’s instagram not favorable to Kris’ brother President Noynoy Aquino which displeased Kris. This led Kris to unfollow Juday’s instagram.
Recently, however, Juday disclosed in glee that Kris rekindled her friendship with her. But stood up to what she stated about Pnoy. “Perhaps Kris realized that it was my personal opinion and I’m entitled to it. Respect begets respect, you know.” Juday declared to a group of movie press.
Career-wise, Juday mentioned that she’ll soon start a tele-serye with Richard Yap which she hopes will be as successful as Be Careful With my Heart. Juday has just done a commercial for the Movie, Television, and Radio Classification Board (MTRCB) with her husband Ryan Agoncillo.
Cool Reaction of Piolo against Basher
As ever, Piolo Pascual elucidates his cool nature when he reacted on a basher’s malevolent words regarding his instagram photo with Pokwang and his son Inigo. In it, Pokwang in jest put these line, “kasama ko sina Piolo at aming anak na si Inigo. Ako ang real mom ni Inigo, ha, ha, ha..”
The lady basher who’s obviously known to Piolo quite spoke ill of him, topped by, “ay ang bakla.” In response, Piolo replied in his instagram. “Hopefully, your daughter will grow up into a good, refine girl.” As simple as that, showing to the hilt Piolo’s gentlemanly manners.
Nino Muhlach’s Big Difference with His Dad Alex
In my stay in the Philippines recently, I still rediscovered Nino Muhlach’s big difference with his dad Alex. At their El Nino apartelle, a maid told me Nino was inside the washroom and would talk to me minutes later. After hours of waiting, Nino did not show up. Unlike Alex who was in a confab immediately contacted me at once.
Inside a mall where Alex treated me for a merienda, he related he’s not in good health yet still active in his work. Evidently, Alex doesn’t want to interfere with Nino’s decision on the latter’s son Alonzo who’s gaining fame lately.
“I’m not satisfied with his plan for Alonzo pero ayoko nang makialam. What I’ve imparted on Nino is to do what I did for him then during his child wonder years, to save all the boy’s earnings properly. Kasi ako every centavo na kinita ni Nino, I was able to keep it in a trust fund. Napalago ko rin ang mga investment na galling sa pera ni Nino.” Alex affirmed with pride.
Speaking about the other Muhlachs, Alex stated that few days back, his sibling Amalia Fuentes just sold one of her digs worth P100 million plus. “I’m worried about her for as usual she displays a very strong, independent character as she lives alone with her maid. Paano kung magkasakit siya?”
At that, Alex sadly recounted that Amalia’s only daughter Liezl has suffered again a recurring breat cancer. Her hubby Albert Martinez and their grown up children Alyana, Alfonso and Alessadra who are doing good in their respective career, assiduously take care of her.
Alex’s brother Cheng and son Aga have their own successful businesses Cheng’s also in partnership with Vic del Rosario’s Viva Films. While Aga is dead set to re-activate his showbiz career. In passing, all the Muhlachs have dual citizenships. Amalia, Alex and Cheng’s late father was a pure Spanish from Madrid, Spain. More than a year ago, the Muhlachs were able to get in touch with close relatives there and had a reunion.

This writer was elated when ex-actress Mildred Ortega who’s the wife of retired general Mitz Templo tendered a get together welcome bash for me at the Barrio Fiesta in Ali Mall. This brings to mind the short yet fruitful showbiz years of Mildred in the ‘70s.
Along with Hilda Koronel, Ed Finlan, the late Jay Ilagan and Millie Mercado (Lani Mercado’s sis), they were under contract, built up by Lea Productions, owned by the deceased Emilia Blas. Mildred appeared in light comedy-drama flicks with her comic forte recognized brazenly.
Later when Mildred turned freelancer several producers handed her meaty dramatic assignments which catapulted her to stardom. Not only that, the FAMAS award giving body acknowledged her talents with nominations for best actress, best supporting actress categories.
At the height of her blooming career. Mildred opted to tie the marital knots with Mitz Templo who was then a major in military. Nevertheless, despite her family life, Mildred has never forgotten all her chums from the movies and TV world. Every now and then, Mildred graces occasions, renewing her friendship with the movie stars and press alike.
Through my nephew Elmer, I got acquainted with his pal Luigi Medina Jr. who comes from a showbiz clan. Yes, his grandfather was the famous late comedian Bentot. Together with Slyvia la Torre, Pugo and Eddie San Jose, they became talk-about, out of their wacky characters in in the top TV shows of the ‘60s Sebya Mahal Kita and Tang Ta Rang Tang.
In the said TV series that were made into the wide screen, Bentot enacted the role of an adult with a child’s mind. He starred too in other hilarious films until his demise. Thus, his son Bentot Jr. took his place as an actor from pre-teen years up to early 20s. Bentot Jr. Most often, he tackled the sidekick of movie king Fernando Poe Jr. who’s Luigi’s ninong.****
Glum-face Luigi frankly admitted that his dad Bentot Jr. became addicted to drugs which caused his disappearance from the movie world. To date, he still copes up with his physical disabilities. Nonetheless, Bentot Jr. has remained good father to him and siblings.

In a chat with Joey de Leon during his Star Talk Show, he confirmed that he backs up Willie Revillame’s inclusion at the GMA-7 network. “In the past, we had altercations, patutsadahan sa aming mga shows. At the end of the day, we found out friendship remains intract. So we’re supportive to each other.” Joey expounded.

Some reacted on Kris Aquino’s expose that Mayor Herbert Bautista broke her heart. In defense of Herbert, what ever happened to the two, allegedly it was Kris’s fault. That he simply realized his wife and kids come foremost to him.
